The intent of this class is to introduce a program including stretches, self-treatment techniques, and therapeutic intervention for home exercise programs with a myofascial perspective. Core strengthening and body mechanics using a functional stabilization approach will be incorporated in “real life” movement patterns for wellness. No prerequisites.

This course is designed to introduce the fundamentals of the ancient energetic art of Qi Gong and give practitioners a personal practice to discover their Qi and cultivate it to be used with a healing intention. The history, philosophy, basic postures, breath work and regulations will all be explored to be incorporated into any massage or energy therapy.

Gregg St. Clair, M.S., L.Ac., has been studying Oriental Philosophy since 1983; practicing Tai Chi, Qi Gong and meditation since 1991; and is a licensed Acupuncturist with his Master’s in Traditional Oriental Medicine (2001). He has been a lead teacher at the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy since 2003 where he teaches Eastern Pathology and has taught Qi Gong for massage to hundreds of students. His techniques have twice been featured at the National Qi Gong Association’s National Conferences, bringing a wide range of experience to this special class.

Gregg is also the author of the Natural Health Companion, a handbook for integrating mind, body and spirit medicine into one’s life. He has his own column in the national magazine, Acupuncture Today; and is a contributor and former editor of the “Ask the Practitioner,” column in the Healing Springs Journal, out of Saratoga, NY.
